The band formed in early 2004 as part of the Liverpool music scene. They signed to Moshi Moshi Records in 2005, and have toured extensively around the UK and Europe. The have received airplay on a number of radio stations including BBC Radio1, BBC 6 Music and XFM London, whose DJ John Kennedy has championed the band. Kennedy claims that their debut album is the best of 2006.
Their debut album was released on October 9th 2006.
They have toured with a number of bands including Milburn and Maxïmo Park.
They have also played with Jamie T in October 2006 and Dirty Pretty Things in November and December 2006.

Tiny Dancers are a band from South Elmsall, UK. Blake Sennett, former band member of Rilo Kiley, has shown such tallent with his new band The Elected. It seems since his break up with Jenny Lewis (lead singer of Rilo Kiley), Blake has allowed himself room to expand his musical abilities. Upon first hearing this album, the first thing that springs to mind is that Blake's singing voice has drastically improved since being in Rilo Kiley (in which he performed backing vocals and sang up front on at least two songs). His voice is clearer, his tone is just right, and he puts such feeling into the songs he's written now that you just know it's sincere. The songs themselves differ enough that the album remains interesting throughout, but are consistant enough that they can be listened to in any order. Once started, it's hard to pick a song on this album to end on. I would higly recommend this album to anyone who's heard Rilo Kiley and liked their style, as Blake has certainly taken a lot of inspiration from his old band.

Much has been made about Rilo Kiley's fusion of country and rock but with MORE ADVENTUROUS, the band's first recording released outside of the Saddle Creek camp, this California quartet creates a sound more along the lines of Belle & Sebastian's brand of twee pop. The bittersweet ting of primary lyricist and singer Jenny Lewis's words is offset by a leavened use of string arrangements. Robert Post is from an incredibly small village on the west coast of Norway called Langevaag. This tiny village is deep in his native land's polar bear country and it is very very very cold.
