The band formed in early 2004 as part of the Liverpool music scene. They signed to Moshi Moshi Records in 2005, and have toured extensively around the UK and Europe. The have received airplay on a number of radio stations including BBC Radio1, BBC 6 Music and XFM London, whose DJ John Kennedy has championed the band. Kennedy claims that their debut album is the best of 2006.
Their debut album was released on October 9th 2006.
They have toured with a number of bands including Milburn and Maxïmo Park.
They have also played with Jamie T in October 2006 and Dirty Pretty Things in November and December 2006.

Tiny Dancers are a band from South Elmsall, UK. Based in Sheffield, they have toured almost constantly since signing to Parlophone in early 2006 - supporting acts as diverse as The Spinto Band, Richard Ashcroft, Larrikin Love and Bob Dylan. Their rootsy, country tinged sound is drawing early comparisons with heroes The Band and has seen them filed separately from the rest of the 'New Yorkshire' scene. A debut album, produced by John Leckie of the Stone Roses fame, is penciled in for a summer 2007 release.

Blake Sennett, former band member of Rilo Kiley, has shown such tallent with his new band The Elected. It seems since his break up with Jenny Lewis (lead singer of Rilo Kiley), Blake has allowed himself room to expand his musical abilities. Upon first hearing this album, the first thing that springs to mind is that Blake's singing voice has drastically improved since being in Rilo Kiley (in which he performed backing vocals and sang up front on at least two songs). His voice is clearer, his tone is just right, and he puts such feeling into the songs he's written now that you just know it's sincere. The songs themselves differ enough that the album remains interesting throughout, but are consistant enough that they can be listened to in any order. Once started, it's hard to pick a song on this album to end on. I would higly recommend this album to anyone who's heard Rilo Kiley and liked their style, as Blake has certainly taken a lot of inspiration from his old band.

Cansei de Ser Sexy is the name of the first international release by the group Cansei de Ser Sexy. It was released on July 11, 2006 on the Sub Pop label. The album received mainly positive reviews (it was featured in UNCUT's list of the 50 best records of 2006 at position #18, "NME's" list of the 50 best records of 2006 at position #5 and Q's list of the 100 best records of 2006 at position #89). Despite the reviews, it failed to chart in the USA. Many of the tracks also appear on the previous Brazilian release by the band, also called Cansei de Ser Sexy.

Much has been made about Rilo Kiley's fusion of country and rock but with MORE ADVENTUROUS, the band's first recording released outside of the Saddle Creek camp, this California quartet creates a sound more along the lines of Belle & Sebastian's brand of twee pop. The bittersweet ting of primary lyricist and singer Jenny Lewis's words is offset by a leavened use of string arrangements. This combination proves irresistible, particularly on the anti-war opener "It's a Hit", with its compelling mix of brassy fanfare, shoo-bop harmonies,and Velvet Underground-like guitar riffs, all of which onlya hint at the audio delights lying in wait over the course of this record.Mellotron and Moog add a melancholy air to the heartbreak-defining "Does He Love You?", and "I Never"hints at Rilo Kiley's country side via Lewis's aching, Loretta Lynn-like phrasing and the atmospheric blending of strings and pedal steel. This adventurous musical outing leaves room for Blake Sennett's lo-fi, solo acoustic tune "Ripchord", the Blondie-esque "Portions for Foxes", and "Love and War (11/11/46)", a New Wave-like rocker inspired by Lewis's visit to her grandfather in a VA hospital.

Dying to Say This to You is an album in English by Swedish rock group The Sounds. It was released on March 15, 2006 in Sweden and on March 21 in the United States. The album blends Swedish-influenced indie rock and melodic synths with a sassy and spunky delivery by vocalist Maja Ivarsson, reminiscent of Blondie. The cover contains Misshapes DJ Leigh Lezark on the left and Alexis Page on the right.
The song "Running out of Turbo" was featured in a chase scene in the episode "Free Fall" of the American television show CSI:Miami.

Robert Post is from an incredibly small village on the west coast of Norway called Langevaag. This tiny village is deep in his native land's polar bear country and it is very very very cold. So he knew from an early age he needed to escape... Aided and abetted by his band mates Tor (drums) and Alf (bass) he set about recording his album. Legendary producer Mike Hedges, who has produced everyone from The Cure to Manic Street Preachers, cleared his schedule to record the album and they even recorded it through the original EMI mixing desk used for Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon. And that's the story so far... a story that looks set to take many more twists and turns and we haven't even started on the 8 foot yeti or the tiny car.
